past Tense

        Simple past tense is a kind of tense which is used to describe an event or action that happened already in certain time in the past.

The pattern of verbal sentenses
(+) S+ V2+Complement
(-) S+did not+V1+Complement
(?) Did+S+V1+Complement
Example :
(+) I went to singapura last week.
(-) I didn’t go to Singapura last week
(?) did I go to Singapura last week?

The pattern of nominal sentences
(+) S+were/was+(adj,adv….)
(-) S+were/was+not+(adj, adv…)
(?) Were/was+S+(adj, adv…)
Example
(+) they were very happy last night.
(-) they were not very happy last night
(?) Were they happy last night?
